Megan & John Jarvis would just like to give a quick update. We are so moved and thankful for the outpouring of help and prayers we received last night and today. We are still a bit in shock and the last 24hrs have just been packed with insurance phone calls and the continuous relocating of animals and children, so we apologize if we have not returned a phone call or text. Its amazing how quickly your life can be flipped upside down. It was a regular Monday night and I was looking forward to the premiere of The Bachelor. About 3 minutes into the show John heard a strange noise and went outside to check. Thank God he heard that noise!! He immediately screamed our house is on fire and to call 911. After that it was a blur of running, crying, carrying children in blankets, and frantic dogs. The fire team arrived quickly, again Thank God!, and immediately went to work. After several hours of watching our house burn through our car window the fire was put out. We lost part of our roof, our chimney, siding and part of our attic. Our house was filled with ash, insulation, smoke, and a ton of water damage. It was obviously not safe to stay in so we left to find a hotel. This morning we woke up feeling sick, shocked, sad, and everything in between. We went to the house to find the water damage caused our ceiling to collapse over night. When the ceiling collapsed it broke our furnace. Our house was now freezing, filling with snow, and about 10x worse than we left it last night. It is not safe for the kids to be in so my wonderful SIL drove 6hrs up from VA to get Landon and Keeley and our 2 small dogs. She is currently en route back to VA with them and I just ask that every one say a prayer for safe travels for her and our children. Please. This is certainly not how we expected to start 2015 but we know we can get through this. Thank you! Megan & John
