Melina wrote--So I am super proud of my little girl BUT I am also worried.......She had below the knee amp on June 24th due to FH and circulation issues ~ she had LL and foot surgery that did not heal ~she has been through a lot but since April 3rd this year ~ 10 times in the O.R>9 of them were trying to save her leg! so this is like the last thing I wanted to hear!anyway ~ her incision is not healing! even has a spot that is a decent deep hole ~no infection tho! Labs are great! Last week we saw her doctor and she did not want to disrupt the tissue by going back in and wanted to do wet to dry and be patient ~because of her blood supply and circulation issue ~ well my daughter goes to shriners and as some of you know some doctors only come there 1 week a month ~ so she is having the wound checked weekly by the P.A. and the verdict today is -NO CHANGE in the wound ~ has anyone had issues healing due to circulation? Im worried it was not high enough? The doctor said after surgery and last week ~ it was the least amount of blood loss she has ever seen in an amputation that just showed how little supply she had going in her leg ~ so with this we need to be patient~ It looked great 3 weeks after and then it just started opening! feeling a little defeated as she keeps getting delays ~ I just feel so bad she has been though so much at 6 years old and been so positive and keeps getting bad news! She just wants her leg to be made!Im even starting to feel a little defeated ~
