Melissa D. Murdoch Obituary | Condolences Melissa D. Murdoch of Glenmoore Melissa D. Murdoch, 26, of Glenmoore went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of Bruce and Patricia (Grubb) Murdoch. She is also survived by her brother, Alexander Matthew and his longtime girlfriend, Jaime Yates; her paternal grandparents, Henry and Dorothy Murdoch and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Marian Grubb. Melissa was a 2006 graduate of Downingtown West High School. She attended Delaware County Community College and Millersville University. Melissa was a preschool teacher at Bright Lights Early Learning Center. In her adolescence, Melissa was a Girl Scout with the Downingtown Service Unit. Melissa was a member of Central Presbyterian Church where she was active in the choirs and youth group. Melissa was also the co-chairperson for Central Chester County Relay for Life in 2014. The family will receive guests for a visitation starting at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 at Central Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Uwchlan Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Relatives and friends will be able to attend the celebration service at 7 p.m. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at St. Pauls United Church of Christ, 101 Worthington Road, Exton, PA 19341. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Relay for Life, Melissas Minions (Melissas team). Online condolences may be made by visiting foundsfuneralhome.
