“Melodies of Strangers” ... The message is a reminder that no matter how strange the city feels, they are not strangers in their own city. This is their city. This is where they belong. This is where they will make a difference as agents of peace. The historic city of Sana’a embraced people from various regions and diverse backgrounds since the 4th century BC. It welcomed them throughout its prosperous and difficult periods, and became a witness to their joys and sorrows. Sana’a is experiencing turbulence yet again, and its winds carry melodies of estrangement making its inhabitants feel like strangers. Today they wait in fear and caution of the unknown.
