Memorial Day is a time to remember those that have fallen in service to our country. There are three Amick men included in the roster of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. These men are remembered here as well: Freddy L. Amick (pictured below), SP4 E4 C Company, 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry, 1st Infrantry Division, US Army...killed in action in Tay Ninh, South Vietman on April 1, 1967 at age 20, at only four months into his tour of duty. Freddy Amick was from Leivasy, West Virginia. (panel 17E - Line 83) Richard Michael Amick, SP4 E4 HHC 5th Battalion, 46th Infantry, 198th Light Infrantry Brigade, US Army...killed in action in Quang Ngai on May 12, 1969 at age 20, nine months into his tour of duty. Richard was fromNashvilee, Tennessee (panel 25W - Line 59) Timothy David Amick, Corporal E4, A Company, 5th Battalion, 1st MARDIV, IIIMAF United States Marine Corps ...killed in action Nov. 9, 1970 in Quang Nam, seven months into his tour at age 18. Tim was from St. Petersburg, Floridia (panel 06W - Line 47)
