Merry Christmas Everyone! Santa was very good to us, and the dogs too. Its official! WE are adopting Roscoe, our longtime foster. He brings so much laughter into our lives. He is smart, funny, and so loving. I hoped over the last year+ he would be adopted by someone who would take him to work with them, give him a job, or jog and keep him active, but that right fit never came along. He has a great home here, but I wanted him to have it all. He had a lot of applications, but he needs a dog saavy owner who can stay one step ahead of him. He is a big flight risk because he opens doors and lets himself out, so all the screen doors have to stay locked. He also has a very high prey drive and would go through the fence to get skunks! As diligent as we are, he escaped from us a couple of times and was gone for hours, but came back on his terms hours later after us searching all over the countryside and giving us heart attacks. He no longer even attempts that here anymore. I have been training with him and he is such a fast learner. He and our German Shepherd are best friends and I think he is quite at home here. Besides, I would have cried like a baby to see him go, we love him :)
