Merry Christmas...most folks are home with family. A lot of people still work the holidays...hospital/nursing home staff, firefighters, police, security folks, and many more. But there are a few occupations that I am aware of where people who work the holiday are also far away from home. The military (first and foremost), and truck drivers are two of them. So while you all are home enjoying all the blessing that you have worked hard for and have earned...well...I and a bunch of others are stuck somewhere far from home today. We do what we must. we do what is required, we do it for the love of those who remain back home. Do not think a tear does not roll down my cheek for another missed moment and precious memory...surely it does, even now. But I remain fortunate and count my many blessings. I hope the best Christmas for all of you and a Happy and prosperous New Year as well. I hope to be home tomorrow and should be off for 3 days or so. Sometimes trucking just works out this way. There is nothing that can be done about it. You put in to be home by a certain day and things just dont work out the way they should.
