Message from Kevin of DISCIPLE ATTENTION!! all users of SPOTIFY, PANDORA, RHAPSODY, GOOGLE PLAY, and all other streaming sites.... A way for you to support the band... Disciple has had the true honor of being able to combine the Gospel of Jesus Christ with music for many years. We have been so blessed to get a front row seat and see God change and save so many lives. It has been incredible!! Also, our fans have been truly amazing in supporting our new album ATTACK. That is why I wanted to reach out today to all fans that listen to our music on streaming sites. If you are not a Disciple fan then this message is not for you, and you can stop reading now. I have no intention of bashing any streaming site or putting anyone on the defensive... quite the opposite. I have come up with an idea and wanted to see if you streamers out there would help us with it. While every band member of Disciple wants to provide for our families... that is not the reason why we became a part of this ministry.... and if someone did join Disciple to get rich then they would be profoundly disappointed when they learned how little we do make. But God has always provided for our needs. Even in our toughest times, SOMEHOW our bills get paid through the grace of God. The truth is that your financial support of Disciple does help us continue to create music, perform music, and boldly share the gospel all around the world. Without the support of our fans and the grace of God, this would be impossible. So I have come up with an idea of how you guys and gals who enjoy our music on streaming sites could be a big help to us. We roughly get paid about $0.002 per stream (far far less for albums that we put out with a record label like H&H). So if someone streamed our entire new album ATTACK we would roughly be paid just over 2 pennies. (Pretty crazy right?! McDonalds value menu here we come!!!) So you can see how it helps the band a lot more to buy our album as opposed to streaming it. But we are well aware that streaming sites are very popular and I would be lying if I said I didnt use them. So I am not asking anyone to stop using streaming sites.... quite the opposite. Im asking you to use them more. You would have listen to our new album ATTACK roughly 362 times for it to be the equivalent of someone who bought the album. That would be streaming a Disciple song 4,344 times. So heres my idea...... Again this is only for true Disciple fans that stream our music..... I would ask that you help us by streaming our music at night while you sleep. Just set your computer or phone to repeat and turn the volume down so it does not disturb you.... or up if you would like for us to sing you lullabies as you dream.... and stream away. I think this a good idea, and Im sure Im not the first to come up with it. It is a great way for all the streamers out there to offer their support. So with that, I say thanks so much to all of you who support what we are doing. Please continue to pray for our families and for God to use Disciple to advance His Kingdom as we pray for you as well.
