Message to the world The land you are to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from Heaven. It is a land the Almighty cares for, the eyes of the Almighty our God are continually on it from the beginning to the end. Today we stand at the threshold of the unknown. Before us lies challenges with a deadly Virus which has rampaged our nation and our people. We are going forward to take possession of it and overcome it. Who knows what we will find? What new experiences or changes will come our way? What new needs will arise? Inspire of the uncertainty before us, we have a cheerful and comforting message from the Almighty and in that message is where our strength and faith is based. The Almighty is our source of supply, our healer. In Him are springs, fountains, streams that will never cut off or run dry. To those who are anxious comes the gracious promise of our Almighty: If he is our source of mercies, then mercy will never fail us. No sickness including Ebola will over come us. It will come and go just like slavery, the wars, the Malaria, HIV/AIDS, etc. Yet our land is the land of valleys and hills which we exhault high. It is not all flat or downhill. If life were always smooth and level, the boring and sameness would weigh us down. We need the valleys and the hills which Sierra Leone already has. Our hills collect the rain for hundreds of fruitful valleys. And so it is always with us. In the difficulty encountered on the hills that drives us to the throne of grace and brings shadows of blessings and healings. Yes it is the hills, cold seemingly crippled by Ebola right now that we question and complain about right now, that will bring down the showers. Our people have perished through slavery, throughout civil wars, with sicknesses( HIV/AIDS, Malaria and now Ebola) and are all buried under this golden soil. Who would have thrived in the hills? How many would have been great, prosperous, heroes, heroines, warriors, kings and queens, saints if not for hundreds of of years of slavery, civil wars and Diseases? But these hills and valleys are a gracious protection for our people against foes. We cannot see what loss, sorrow and trials are accomplishing. We need only to trust. The Almighty comes near to take our hand and lead us on our way today. It will be a good and blessed way. May the land the we love our Beautiful Sierra Leone continue to prosper and live long.
