Met with two different established photogs in last two days. The surprising remark made @ both meetings was almost the EXACT same thing. Both came just a hair shy of saying I lack the equipment or lighting experience they have, but I actually have a better eye than both. Future work offered, and the consensus was I would be a fool, or it would be pointless to continue to provide free service to anyone. Same thing I heard several times last year, n you know what...they are right. And it probably shouldnt have taken so many ppl to say so, but I love what I do. But its time. Like Zach Arias says..never wait til youre ready. Funny because during my time of being patient (which Im not the best at) I kept hearing a pastor in the back of my mind saying...God doesnt send us airplanes. He puts the skill and knowledge in us and the materials in the earth and we have to build them if we wanna fly. And like Sugar Ray sang I just wanna fly. I was going to have another donation drive, same as last year but you know what.......NOBODY gave a damn last year and I really dont have a reason to believe they will this year either. (not offended, just being honest). And Im cool with that because thats obviously not the way this thing is gonna get done. So cool. Know this, I still love and appreciate all my fb fam n friends, but I AM a photographer, no more amateur talk. And Photographers dont work for free...No one does.
