Michael Cormack Tae Kwon-Do Memorandum: I have received, - TopicsExpress

Michael Cormack Tae Kwon-Do Memorandum: I have received, reviewed and contemplated a Tae Kwon-Do video relative to Tae Kwon-Do and its hierarchy in the world as we know it. I am perplexed with its message and content and what it truly strives to communicate to the viewer, you, as an exponent of true Tae kwon-Do, regardless of any past or present affiliation. I therefore, feel compelled to share for the record General Choi Hong-His vision and thoughts, (as implicitly shared with myself) as his son in law, and my interpretation of what he believed as it relates to His Vision for Tae kwon-Do and its future legacy, as he anticipated and desired, after his passing. General Choi Hong-Hi consistently exclaimed that Tae Kwon-Do is not the property of any earthly nation, specifically referencing its historical and intrinsic roots from the Southern and/or Northern part of the artificially divided Koreas. Additionally, General Choi Hong-Hi maintained and espoused his philosophy of Tae Kwon-Dos universality and that it should be conserved and proliferated as he demonstrated, while under his leadership - past, present and in the future. Most importantly, and in sync with his universal mantra, he stated that all of mankind or future species should be and would be included in the leadership of Tae Kwon-Do for the universe and all to enjoy. He believed this would be appropriate and act as a guideline for future leaders of Tae Kwon-Do, even after that monumental day arises when the two Koreas are ultimately and gloriously unified. (Tong-Il). Whether from the International Tae Kwon-Do Federation or World Tae Kwon-Do Federation, and many others (with their present day self aggrandizing and contorted factions), he, the Founder General Choi Hong-Hi would wish these interlocutors of present day Tae Kwon-Do, (and only one with true authority), would continue with his resolve in achieving this goal. Hence, respecting the true intentions of and the tenets of Tae Kwon-Do, including those of the founder, I emphatically share and personally believe that no one body or organization has the rights or ownership of this universal art. General Choi Hong-Hi professed that his wish was to create a universal authority to guide, not own, his, now our precious Tae Kwon-Do and for it to be studied and practiced on the moon, the planets of this galaxy and all of the shining stars of the universe. Therefore in closing, my message is as follows for those so self or rationally empowered to seriously consider: United we stand, and divided we will certainly fall, under any quasi-self proclaimed body or those entities so entitled by political vote de jour or any defacto umbrella organizations. Tae Kwon-Do leaders, today and tomorrow must learn from mankinds historical mistakes and those of many past self-conflicted organizations. We, as the inheritants of Tae kwon-Do must and with haste unite in a global calling to formulate a sound plan, coupled with a well thought out strategy to unify, rather than to divide our TKD members, embracing one all inclusive entity that respects our common goals and those of General Choi Hong-His for the continuation of a universal Tae Kwon-Do. Respectfully, Yours in Tae Kwon-Do, Michael Cormack Michael Cormack
