Michael Goldie has passed away. Goldie in five episodes of Doctor Who first in Day of Reckoning, the third episode of the William Hartnell story Dalek Invasion of Earth playing Craddock then episodes 2 to 5 of the Patrick Troughton story The Wheel In Space playing Elton Laleham. Outside of Doctor Who, Goldie’s work included The Avengers, Strange Report, the original Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased),The Horror of Frankenstein & Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. He also appeared in various productions of Sherlock Holmes stories in The Hound of the Baskervilles mini-series which starred Fourth Doctor Tom Baker as Sherlock Holmes, the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes episode The Final Problem and a much earlier Sherlock Holmes episode A Study in Scarlet which starred Peter Cushing as the great detective and as Cushing had played another version of the Hartnell Doctor when he played Doctor Who in the 1960s Dalek movies this makes Goldie one actor who has worked with both Hartnell and Cushing.
