Michael shared--Friends, on monday Im entering your world via surgery. I know very little about how life will be. Due to a recurrence of sarcoma in the same site, upper left thigh/hip area, doctors recommend (and I agreed) last week to do a hemi-pelvectomy. I will lose the lower half of my left hip bone, and everything underneath. It is the best chance I have for survival at this point. I live in Atlanta, and Im open to any suggestions/ideas/resources. Im thinking I can still attend a trip to Oregon Wine Country in September--am I crazy? Anyway, thanks for any resources/help. I hope to be an active contributor one of these days to others.
