Mick Carter and Dean Wicks join forces next week to track down Shirley Carter and bring her back to Walford. The two men think she deserves to know that her father, Stan, is dying of cancer and may only have weeks to live. They finally find the old caravan Shirley has been living in but she isn’t in it, so they decide to head back to Walford. However they soon see Shirley heading towards them and she is stunned to discover what’s been going on back home. Not only is she rocked by the news of Stan’s health, she realises Aunt Babe has been playing her when Mick explains that Phil is fine and has covered for her with the police so there’s no need to hide. Mick asks Shirley to come home and although floored by the news, Shirley refuses and says they are all better off without her. After Mick and Dean leave, a man emerges from the darkness and embraces Shirley - who is he? Later, having spent the night in a B&B, Mick and Dean return to the caravan park with a plan, they quickly attach the locked caravan to the back of Mick’s car and drive it back to Walford. They eventually park up outside The Vic and Mick and Dean get the shock of their lives when they open the caravan door...
