Microsoft is using a dirty advertising trick to sell their product. Help stop them by re-posting this short rant that does not incite people to violate other peoples rights. I am referring to the Windows Store App commercial that is so loud it bothers my neighbors when it comes on and I have to scramble for my remote to hit the mute button when it comes on. This is an intrusive trick that many advertisers use to get your attention and it was banned in some broadcast mediums but sadly not all of them. Unfortunately, unscrupulous 1%s are still taking advantage of it. This particular adverse advertisement takes advantage of the empirical fact that low frequency sound waves propagate from one medium to another very efficiently due to Snells law of wave refraction. To put it in plain terns, “heavy bass thumper” music travels forever through everything. That is why you can hear a boom box car 3 or 4 blocks away and they rattle your windows as they pass by, which is something else we should be complaining to our Government about. We can stop the 1%s from using invasive volume level commercials to hack their over priced junk simply just by letting them know that we know what they are doing and that we are muting their commercials. Also, I really hate some of the insulting ATT commercials that are offensive to certain stereotypes such as the one that insinuates that all old hippies are brain dead, when in fact Steve Jobs himself was an old Hippie. He complained about having to get his hair cut to make the man happy.
