Mid 90`s made in Korea Hamer Slamer w/Maple body and neck. NOT the later Kaman slammer by hamer Chinese particle board junk. These were called the Strat Killers of that era and were usually on a back order, because the Strat guys were snagging them up at $799.00 as soon as they came in. They had the features and played as well as the U.S.A. Strats for $500.00 less. This one is as near NOS as you will find. It was part of a long lived music stores going out of business auction a few years ago, and was discovered stashed in its original sealed box in the back room. The box is gone and replaced w/a proper ABS case. The clear plastic that was on the pick guard was just recently removed, and that is why it is brighter than the cool aged single coil covers. It has only seen one string change with very little couch play on it. There is a very minute clear scratch about 1/4 long that my camera can not even capture. The hardware is PERFECT w/no finger crud or corrosion what so ever. It needs a Tremelo bar and the new switch hat I have for it installed. Electronics work GREAT! I`ve owned several USA Strats, and this guitar does indeed rival them all and exceeded the MIM Strats in all ways. This is one of the BEST Strat copies that I have ever played for sure. I`m at $300.00 cash in hand w/case, or $400.00 trade value on a decent Tele or Tele style guitar. I may also have an interest in a NICE extension cab that is 8-16ohm.
