MidAtlantic Horse Rescue - Chesapeake City, Maryland Now Available for Adoption: Larrys Getaway. dk.b.g., 16.1h, 2003 Larry is a very cool guy- we dont know his history but he ended up on a kill buyers lot. A friend sent a video clip of him jumping a 2 x 4 --held by two people at 3 ft-- on a gravel road-- ridden bareback in a western bridle. We figured after all that, he needed another chance. When he came in, his feet were infected and neglected, but with a little proper care he came around quickly. Larry is barefoot and sound and very friendly. Willing and honest under saddle, he tries hard. He showed in his first formal jump school that he is a very good jumper- he really rolls his shoulders and hikes his knees up. He seemed a little uncertain about colored fences now and then but always went. He will make a super horse for someone, and could go in any direction.
