Miles Sampa Ponders Forming His Party Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa says there is a plot to assassinate him by his political adversaries. Sampa has also said he will consider forming his own political party if his bid to stop Edgar Lungu’s candidature by the courts of law fails. He said he may also consider endorsing another candidate for the January, 20 presidential elections. Sampa said on a special programme on Radio Phoenix that he will not give up his bid of leading the country. He said even though he is assassinated, another youthful leader may emerge to take up his role. Sampa has appealed the High Court decision to throw out his injunction to halt Lungu’s claim to the PF presidency. He said he will not join the other camp for the sake of it but stick to the law. “My number one option is to fight through the courts of law and if that fails I will consider option two which is to form my own political party and contest although we may not win. I will follow the example of the old man who started his own political party from scratch,” Sampa said.
