Ensuring optimum availability of equipment. Position outputs : 1. To carry out all maintenance repairs and modifications on machinery, plant & equipment in accordance to the requirements of the Code of Practice 29 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. ensuring high standards are maintained. 2. To evaluate + analyze the nature, cause and oversee the repairs of breakdown + determining the optimal way of dealing with the problem, to achieve a quality + cost effective solution and operational availability of equipment and min downtime. 3. To regulate break checks, to twice daily, to avoid brake failure, eliminating accidents, delays and unnecessary cost. 4. To have embedded knowledge of rigging procedures to recover spreaders from vessels occurring from accidents as quick as possible, ensuring production continuity. 5. To have basic knowledge of electrical experience to assist electrician, to ensure equipment is repair as soon as possible. 6. Have sufficient knowledge of occupational health & safety Act. And regulation to enforce safe workings procedures, for the purpose of safety of employees and people around you. 7. To carry out repairs to defect as per examiners defect list. To ensure safe working and minimize breakdowns to machinery and equipment. 8. To carry out hydraulic repairs and breakdowns on spreaders to ensure safe working and minimize breakdowns. Qualifications & Experience : Matric or Trade Certificate for Millwright Code of Practice 29 preferebly Code 08 Certificate of comp. Fork Lift Licence/ Cranes EXPERIENCE: 3 – 5 Years Be able to work at heights Only CVs with certified copies of certificates and ID will be considered. Competencies : Quality driven self. Motivated.
