Mind blowing as i sit here and think about this day! 18 years ago i wasnt the best person but God totally blessed me. December 23, 1996 i went into Sweetwater hospital and within 3 hours of being there i was holding my baby boy. Looking at his perfect little face only weighing 6 lbs 3 ozs. I had no clue that precious gift would be the one person that would be the glue to hold my life together! He has endured alot in life and when i wanted to totally give up he gave me the will to keep going. Not many know the story not many ever will know it all. But God used him many times to keep me from ending my life. I have watched him grow from that precious newborn that couldnt hear a thing the first two and a half years of his life, to a child that was so far behind in life schools said he would never make it. He would only be able to work a restaurant job! Graduate from a special ed class on 2nd/3rd grade level. To a child that looked them in the face and said i want regular school work in a regular class! To a wonderful young man in 11th grade doing it all and proving them wrong. He is taking Geometry, Spanish ll, Biology, Ag Mechanics, English lll, US History, and Drivers ED. All with no less than a B all year! His college is already set up. I will never forget him getting his Drivers Permit. I wanted to cry but i think more because reality hit me that he is not mommys baby anymore! This wonderful young man that has gave me so much joy, love, hope, and tears is now 18 years old today! Standing at 6 ft 2 and weighing 300lbs. But i would still let him sit on my lap if the day ever came he wanted too. Now i want to say Happy 18th Birthday Nychoma Qwinton Elijah Hamlet!!! I pray you have an amazing, wonderfully, blessed day! And many more years to come. We love you beyond measure always have and always will! Thank you for times you have let me share with you. And thank you for things you dont ever realize! Again Happy Birthday Baby!!!!
