Minette took part in Mississippi States MegaE study on Monday. The doctors took pictures for me during the procedure. She felt so at home that she fell asleep in the chair. Some of our results: Liquids and meatballs just sit in her esophagus, so the slurry weve been using was confirmed to be her best choice. And a minimum of 30 minutes in the chair because her stomach sphincter is slow to allow food in. Her malfunctioning esophagus also traps tons of air, so we need to keep burping her. They told us that other than this condition, she is in fantastic health, so that was good news that we are doing things right. Seeing the videos from the fabulous equipment used was really cool. Dr. Thomason is going to send me a copy to show my Biology students. Although the information just clarified what we already knew, we hope that the study will benefit all pups with MegaE. They still are in need of one or two participants to complete the research.
