Ministry Minute # 58 – “False Christians” Matthew 7:21 thru 23 Today’s ministry minute highlights False Christians. In Matthew 7:21 thru 23 Jesus says 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works. 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. In these passages Jesus declares and decrees that many who freely call him Lord are doing so only in the hypocrisy of their WORDS but NOT in the sincerity of their DEEDS. This is the biblical version of “talk is cheap” and Jesus puts teeth behind it by denying entrance into heaven for EVERYONE who false claims to know HIM yet He does NOT know them!
