Mirwaiz nOw issue statement against geelani shahib At least six activist of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have joined the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir, a senior ruling party leader said on Sunday. Describing National Conference as a force to reckon with, senior leader Sajjad Shaheen said his party is all set to form next government on its own. “National Conferrer will register a magnificent victory in the upcoming elections,” Shaheen said while welcoming prominent workers of APHC, Congress and PDP into the party fold. Those APHC members who according to him joined the NC are:Mohammed Ramzan Bohroo, Ghulam Nabi Draboo, Mohammed Rafiz Prahanu, Manzoor Ahmed Sohil, Abdul Rashid Bhat and Tariq Ahmed Padihar. He, according to the statement issued, said National Conference has history of public service since its inception that has endeared it to the people of the three regions and sub-regions. “Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah has fought for honour and dignity of the people and never compromised with the just cause of the state”, he said and asked the party workers to fan out across the constituency and make people aware about the policies and programmes of Sher-e-Kashmir’s legacy.
