Missing Person Robin BALLARD - Kalgoorlie Police are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of missing 59 year old man Robin BALLARD. Mr BALLARD is from NSW and he recently travelled to Western Australia on a prospecting trip, and was last seen at the Kalgoorlie Train Station on 17 July 2014, when he dropped a friend off. It is believed he was intending to spend a couple more weeks prospecting in the area around the Siberia Mine Site, which is 75km North West of Kalgoorlie. On 20 July 2014 Mr BALLARD was in contact with family via SMS, however since that date there has been no communication from him, which is out of character. Mr BALLARD is driving a white Ford Ranger utility, with NSW registration “BT 82 KY” (similar to the one in the attached photo). It also has a grey canopy. Mr BALLARD is also towing a 6x4 galvanised trailer which is carrying a blue quad bike and 4 spare 4WD tyres. He also has a pet dog (Kelpie) with him. Local police conducted a preliminary search of the area he was believed to be in on Monday night, and a search plane was used yesterday to search a greater area, however Mr BALLARD was not located. Anyone with information on Mr BALLARD’s whereabouts is asked to call Police on 131 444.
