Missional Tuesday (late edition) ideal of the week: Host a sports game watching party. Football season is quickly approaching. Along with it are many chances to be missional. Over the next week pull up the schedule of your favorite team and talk with people in your missional community (or small group) about dates you would like to host watching parties. Invite neighbors close to the event, coordinate snacks, and have a great time. A spin on this for those of you with school age kids is to invite other neighbors with kids to tailgate before a local high school game. Last football season I had the opportunity to lead one of my neighbors to Christ. It started with the relationship I built with him through hosting Monday Night Football each week. It was not an overnight thing but we continued to have intentional conversations that brought him closer to God.
