Mkay.. time to ask a few questions. Ive got quite a few plants scattered throughout my house that are all sitting in soil. I like the idea of having plants scattered throughout my house and am looking to integrate hydro for each and every single plant. There has to be a way to seal up every pot currently in use (I have liquid acrylic so I can seal them up) and utilize a simple Kratky style floating hydro setup that will allow the roots to be suspended above the water partially and free up the need for a bubbler. For those not familiar with kratky, you can see his research paper here: hemmaodlat.se/kratky.pdf The key to this system is the ability to replenish the nutrients and water in the base of the system which should be potentially very simple. In Kratkys model, he is growing lettuce plants which are harvested after a short period of time, so replenishing the nutrients or the water isnt required. Obviously, I would suspend a net pot with the plant in it over the water/nutrients in the original pot and replenish as needed just like I water these plants frequently anyway. What do you all think?
