#MobilityAwarenessMonth 7-year-old Sonny Pikett has CP and has never been able to walk, talk, crawl or sit up unaided. That all changed, however, once he became a student at PACE in Buckinghamshire, England. PACE is an organization that helps children with CP by training undamaged parts of the brain to take over the functions of the damaged parts. Today Sonny can now sit up, walk with a frame, crawl and communicate by using a picture and word book. Louise Taylor, Sonnys mother, said Sonny used to get frustrated when people couldn’t understand him, but that he is now much happier and that he is also able to move around on his own by crawling or using a walking frame.
