Mom, I am thinking of you! ;) Mom, I am so glad and proud that God chose you to be my mom. When I think of what character traits of a women it took to raise me, I think of Strength, Perserverance, but most of all Love. As a young man, when I was alone in my thoughts, I was under no illusion that the direction of my life was not how you might have envisioned it initially. It was your Strength that kept me as close to the narrow path, as I was willing to walk. It was your Perserverance that taught me to never give up, and it was your unconditional Love that brought you to your knees before your God on my behalf. Mom, because of these attributes you did not see the rebellious child you were raising. You trusted in God’s word, and you demonstrated your faith by planting God’s seeds early in my life. Even when you saw the rebellious young man, you spoke life into my heart, and God breathed life into your words. I walked a different life initially, but you and Jesus truly saw me as God created me to be. I have no regrets, because the bumps and bruises along the way and God’s grace paved the way for my return to Jesus. My heart knows your heart, and this message will make your heart smile. It makes my heart smile saying these things to you, because I know what it feels like to have my prayers answered by God regarding my boys, and this is an answer to your life long prayers. Your love and prayers to Jesus, changed my entire life. I am not perfect, but I am being remolded in Jesus’s image slowly but surely. Your prayers more than drew me back to Jesus for my salvation, so we can be together for eternity in heaven. My marriage to my wife was changed, I can say renewed. My wife gave her heart to Jesus, and her life was changed and continues to change. All four of my boys have given their hearts to Jesus. Mom, some receive a car, college fund, or an inheritance, but there is no greater gift than a mom who kneels by her son’s bedside, introduces him to Jesus, and speaks the life that brings love and peace into every facet of their lives forever. Who can find a virtuous woman? She is far more precious than jewels... Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the activities of her household and is never idle. Her sons rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her. Many women are capable, but you surpass them all! Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised. Proverbs 31:10, 25-30
