Mom Post: Needing advice I am a BM to a 12 year old girl and SM to two SS (14&10). DH went to a CS mosification hearing 2 weeks ago and we got word today that the modification was denied in the best interest of the children. When DH signed the divorce papers, he was making 3x more than he does now. His order is not the normal 25% for 2 children like most in TX - he is ordered to pay $1080/month + medical insurance coverage. (Remember, when the order was signed, he was making $4k/month) 50% of his paycheck now goes to the BM and, since his pay has significantly decreased, he goes into arrears every month because 50% still does not equal the $1080 ordered. BM is employeed, has her housing, utilities, car and gas all paid for, but claimed in the hearing that, she cant make it on 25%. We are having trouble making our ends meet because of so much going to her. Has anybody ever had this issue before and what, if anything, can we do from here? Thank you! Anonymous RP.
