Mom was zonked most of the day until family poured in-in great numbers. Doctor says she will never be as good as she was before hospitalisation. Whether she makes it out this time is a wait and see situation. So far, it has been a rollercoaster- one day, she is awake, coherent and able to talk and breathe without the bipap (mask). Other days, complete opposite. Liver and kidneys are slightly better, but heart and lungs are shot. We hope that she will improve and go home, but we also know that it is a matter of time until we lose her. On the up side, all of her brothers and sisters are together to see her, having traveled from various parts of the country. There is great magic in being together with everybody for the first time in many years. We may not have it all together, (and believe me, our family is crazy), but together we have it all.
