THE IRISH SEA As we stood overlooking the Irish Sea with, The Old Horse of Wales, Cushti Boks DNA verified sire and Tom Price, the Gypsy who owned him, he pointed to a clearing under a tree and said, he was born right over there, I will never forget the day he was born, i held him in my arms and I knew he was special, hes the best colt I ever raised Tom gave us a book titled Appleby Horse Fair that day and pointed out the picture of yearling colts being ponied through The River Eden in Appleby. It was the yearling leading the way in the picture that was the colt Tom held in his arms overlooking The Irish Sea. The little colt had a destiny that began in a Gypsies arms under a tree and then as the highest priced colt in Great Britain when he was purchased for $12,500.00 US in 1992 and then as the first of his Gypsy Vanner Horse breed in 1996.
