Moment of Reflection: One of our biggest flaws as humans is our ability to make assumptions based of different situations. I believe this starts when we are young, when solving math problems and reading problems. People tend to look for clues that will help best solve the problem. In math it is by using the best equation to solve, in reading it is using clues to best define the word. The problem with this is that we take this mentally and apply it the people. Based of certain personality traits we subconsciously find patterns in people that help us on what we should do next in a given situation. BUT the problem with that is all humans are different despite our similar experiences and personality traits. An example of a situation is when you dont feel like to talking to somebody because you think you are bothering them. You cannot prove that, you are only making that assumption based on what you feel nothing less or nothing more. One of the ways I cope the this idea of assumption is first, acknowledging the fact I am making an assumption. Then getting to the conclusion on why I am making this assumption. Then acknowledge that I could be wrong. If the assumption if between another individual, it would best to ask that person as direct as possible to get a concrete answer from that person. (hopefully leading to less assumptions) Assumptions, sigh, its human nature I suppose.
