Monday Match Reports (09/06/14): Banterlona 9 – 4 The Masonettes MOM: Cameron TS: Tom (3) What a game we had on our hands this evening, two sides who have massively improved in recent weeks locked horns! There were some real good saves from both keepers who where doing their best to stop some real good efforts from brilliant strikers who were desperate to find the net and before long there persistence paid off! Both teams bagging consecutively to make the game a real contest however through out the rest of the game Banterlona had just enough to carry them through! Golden Phoenix 4 – 5 Hapoel Tel Aviva MOM: Richard Pipes TS: Mike (2) The narrowest of margins separated these two sides tonight, Golden Phoenix struggled in the opening stages however as the game went on they began to gain some momentum and kick on! Hapoel were also in the mood for goals and weren’t holding back! Rich Pipes was strong in the heart of the defence and made it hard for Tel Aviva however the lads were forcing there way through and finding a way in! A Great performance from both sides provided us with top class entertainment! Sum 2nd Team 6 – 5 Team Tardis MOM:Dan Winter TS: Matt (4) Another tight game today which had us on the edge of our seats from start to finish! Both sides were showing there attacking prowess from early on and were both again looking to get there noses in front early however neither side could do it! The Tardis lads looked firm at the back however Sum 2nd Team kept knocking and before long had what they wanted! Tardis were responding and they’re secret weapon was Matt who managed to get on the scoresheet four times! Sadly it wasn’t enough but it was a cracking effort! Brockfield Fishiries 6 – 1 X-Ray Raiders MOM: Chris Johnson TS: Dan (2) This scoreline took some of us by surprise tonight! An emphatic 6-1 victory for the Brockfield boys today really showed us what they were about today as they toppled high flyers X-Ray Raiders with an emphatic scoreline! The Raiders however were there usual selves and worked hard however the Fishiries had something in them that we’d never seen before! Chris Johnson led the assault and was brutal! Goals from all angles and some beautiful passing & moving saw the boys through! Top class work fellas! Team Gary 10 – 13 Flair n Despair MOM: Liam Brown TS: Si (3) Flair n Despair found form this week against a strong Team Gary! The boys had strengthened there squad significantly with the late signing of Liam Brown who had a major impact on the game, both teams were finding the net well with Tom Williams finding his name on the scoresheet an amazing five times for TG! Flair however were having non of it and the way the passed and moved was superb and mesmearised us on the sidelines! Top work Flair, keep it up!
