Monument Chemical 2450 Olin Road Brandenburg, KY 40108 JOB VACANCY REPORTING FORM POSITION TITLE: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager REQUIREMENTS: BS degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering required. A minimum of 10 years industrial experience, chemical industry experience strongly preferred. Qualified candidates must have: working knowledge and expertise of regulatory (OSHA/EPA/PSM/DOT/IH/RMP) requirements including Federal and State Safety and Health Laws. Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary. Candidate must be a self-starter with an ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time. Strong group presentation skills, SAP software usage, and the ability to prepare multimedia presentations are necessary. BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION, DUTIES AND OTHER INFORMATION: Oversee the development and implementation of all Safety and Health and Loss/Prevention Programs to facilitate continuous improvement in the organization’s EHS performance and to ensure consistent compliance with all governmental and all safety requirements. Develop and implement training programs designed to enable employees to prevent injuries; i.e. Safety-In-Motion, Safe-Start, Nitrogen Hazard Awareness, etc. Coordinate and manage all appropriate investigation activities subsequent to all Safety and Health and any Loss/Prevention incidents and coordinate the completion of Root-Cause Analyses as required. Develop and implement processes to be used in identifying and eliminating hazards and at-risk behaviors; i.e. Near Miss Reporting and Corrective Action Processes. Manage all environmental compliance programs and activities. Provide guidance to other management personnel to assure effective and proper response to OSHA, EPA and State compliance, inspections, etc. Prepare and timely submit all reports in accordance with regulatory requirements for air, water, hazardous waste, solid waste, potable water, TSCA, and injury performance. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs covering safety, health, and emergency response. Assist with industrial hygiene and environmental control programs as necessary. Prepare reports and maintain records in support of EHS system objectives. Complete safe work practice observations/inspections and recommend corrective actions. Investigate incidents and prepare reports accordingly. Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data. Participate in process development, PHAs/operating reviews and safety/environmental audits. Participate in and conduct EHS meetings.
