More Bollywood for Pak singer Zebunnisa Zeb Bangash Pakistani singer Zebunnisa Humayun Bangash, also known as Zeb who has done playback for films such as Alia Bhatt-starrer Highway and John Abraham-starrer Madras Cafe says she is now concentrating more on Bollywood. I am really working seriously for Bollywood now. I am doing a bunch of playback stuff and composing here and there, I really enjoy that stint more and more, says Zeb whose pop band goes by the name Zeb and Haniya. The singer was here to perform at the inaugural day of the eighth edition of the three-day SAARC band festival, which concludes today. Zeb who was invited earlier in 2011 for the same festival says she had great fun interacting from bands across the SAARC countries. It was great fun, it was really nice especially liked interacting with these great bands Chirkutt and Mrigya whose music I wasnt very familiar with and never heard their names. Its always just so wonderful, when we came and we met them at sound-checks we heard their music and we loved it instantly, we have really found new friends across the region which is so special, Zeb told . The Pakistani singer says she has been visiting India for performances since the year 2009. Her music is influenced by Pashto and Dari folk songs mixed with elements of Sufi and Turkish music and woven around jazz. She also sings in Urdu, Turkish, Pashto, Dari-dialect of Pharsi. We did a bunch of songs from the north of Pakistan and Afghanistan as they share a lot of cultural history. Their songs are kind of common in this entire region in the parts of Central Asia. We also did a couple of number from our first album Chup, an unreleased Night Song, 4-5 Dari and Turkish numbers, says the singer. I dont choose themes for my songs it just happens. I just do what I feel like doing, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt I am not so methodical about it, says Zeb.
