More Roman Architecture. ..The Arena of Nime...2 thousand years old. Where Gladiators and animal fights were held. Now it is used for Bull fighting and concerts. Today...they were preparing it for a Bull fight...filling the Arena with sand as they did for the Gladiators. Arena means sand and it was and is still used to absorb the blood and removed from the grounds. Pretty gruesome!! But the Architecture is amazing and this Arena of Nime is the most well preserved Roman Arena of all the 400 that stand today.
