More food for thought: WIFE ABUSE The great blue heron stalks the edge of the pond, wide feet carefully placed, yellow eyes sharply focused, sharp beak at attention, much like an enemy naval destroyer stalking its foe’s submarine, which slices like a fish through the water and silently hides in the deep pools until depth charges, like a heron’s thrusting beak spearing a tiny fish, blow the submarine from the depths and so the great bird’s hunger is sated.
