The SDA Church need to look again to His feasts. His feasts are important times and will underlie events to occur in the near future. The feasts are only found upon His calendar. They are not found upon the Gregorian calendar. Upon the Gregorian calendar this year, for those living in Australia, the Gregorian calendar dates which these events fall upon are: * Passover: The evening of the 14th day in the first month falls upon the evening of the 3rd of April 2015. * The Feast of Unleavened bread: Falls upon the first month from the 15th day until the 21st day, which is the 4th of April until the 10th of April 2015. * The Feast of Weeks/Pentecost: Is calculated by going 7 weeks forward from the Sabbath upon the 15th day of the first month and then counting 50 days which brings one to the 15th of July 2015 (in Australia - timing depends upon where one lives). * The Feast of Trumpets: The first day upon the seventh scriptural month which is the 14th of September 2015. * The Day of Atonement: The 9th day at even until the 10th day at even upon the seventh month. This is from the evening of the 22nd until the evening of the 23rd of September 2015. * The Feast of Tabernacles: The 15th day until the 21st day of the seventh month which is the 28th of September 2015 until the 4th of October 2015. The point of this article was not necessarily to point out the days they fall upon or even debate them, but rather to point out something many miss. Most people would acknowledge that His feasts days are found using the calendar He provides us with in scripture. They are not found upon the same time of the month using the Gregorian calendar from year to year. My question to those who use the Gregorian calendar to calculate their Sabbaths upon is why? Why would you calculate His appointed times using the scriptural calendar and then switch to another calendar to calculate His Sabbaths upon? There is a very important verse you need to look at in Scripture. When working out the feasts, one uses Leviticus 23:4 as the rule as to which calendar to place them upon: These are the appointed times of YHWH. holy convocations which ye shall proclaim at their appointed times. The appointed times are to be calculated using the moon. Psalm 104:19 He made the Moon for the appointed times. The sun knows its going down. So if one is using the moon for the appointed times WHY then arent you doing it for His Sabbaths, which He proclaims to be an appointed time - a holy convocation. Leviticus 23:2 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘The appointed times of YHWH, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My appointed times. I spoke to someone who professes to be Jewish today and asked them why they keep the calendar they do. He said: *************** Research why we moved to that calander! We did so because we were violently chased from our land by Romans, and the head rabbis knew we would not have them to announce the new moon, etc... **************** So next time you believe that the Jews hold the correct Sabbath day, you might find it useful to ask some of them if the calendar they are using today is the one they used when Yahushua was here. The answer might just surprise you.
