More from the club: Champion Collingwood midfielder Dane Swan is a Magpie for life, saying if the club doesnt want to offer him another contract beyond 2016 he wouldnt chase other rival offers. As expected, Swans two-year contract extension through to the end of 2016 was confirmed on Saturday at Collingwoods family day, joining defender Heritier Lumumba in agreeing to a new deal. Lumumba put behind him a difficult season to agree to a one-year extension with the club, through to the end of 2015. At the end of this contract if Collingwood dont want me or I decide I want to keep going and they dont want me, I wont play anywhere else, Swan said. Theres no point. I couldn’t be bothered starting all over again anyway, Im too lazy for that. Im very comfortable here, and have great relationships with everyone here, from the volunteers to (President) Eddie (McGuire). I live close to here, its been my home for nearly half my life so I have no intention of leaving anyway. Im pretty grateful they have faith in me for another two years.
