More news from the front line of the Great Rodent War: downstairs today, while sorting out costumes for Wonderland, I discovered where else the bloody rats have been living over the winter. Did they piss and and crap all over the bags of cheapo polyester fabrics that are easy to clean, or did they chew into the bag of carefully folded, paper-wrapped antique 1940s satin wedding dresses and piss all over them? Take a guess. Part of me just wants to burn everything in a single gesture of rage at the spoiling of my collection of vintage wedding clothes. Part of me wants to try to salvage what I can, which might not be much and might not be worth the effort. None of the dresses will be wearable again, and even if I could afford to replace them, which I cant, its not like you can just find this sort of thing everyday.
