More news we really didnt want to hear. The micro vascular team now feels (after reviewing the CT scan and reviewing all her surgical notes/history ) that the muscle repair is not a good option. Everyone has been going back and forth on how much this vac is really helping and after four weeks everyone finally agrees it might be 20% smaller. Most of the surgeons dont believe it will work and if it does it will just be a temporary fix. We will likely have another surgery before going home, where then we will take a break from all this for 6 months and return for a jejunum interposition. Going home with another BIG surgery looming over our heads is going to be hard. It will be hard physically, emotionally, & financially to basically do this all over again. Please keep my sweet girl in your prayers.
