More on Foreign Funding and the Dare progressive party positionn on Foreign Funding: The stupid excuse that some foreign sponsored puppets and aspiring puppets such as the former Dare interim leader Gilbert Dzikiti and his kitchen cabinet give for looking for foreign funding in blatant violation of the Zimbabwe law prohibiting Zim political parties and political persons from soliciting or receiving foreign funding is that ZANU and the then ZAPU received foreign funding during the armed chimurenga. Some say the MDCs are receiving foreign funding without facing the consquences of violating the law. Well, such elements should know that the context has changed. As for the then ZANU AND ZAPU, they were not getting foreign money for personal gain but for national gain back then because the money was to fund the armed national liberation struggle. Besides there was no the current law prohibiting parties from receiving foreign funding. Now that law is there and those former Dare members like Dzikiti and crewq wanted to use Dare to illegally obtain foreign funds for personal gain. That is just totally unacceptable in Dare progressive party. As for the MDCs, they accepted foreign money and became largely foreign controlled parties posing a serious threat to our hard won national sovereignity and territorial integrity and that is not to be copied. As Dare progressive and democratic nationalist and pan-africanist party, our fundamental and uncompromisable principle on political funding is that the Zimbabwean and African peoples must fund our own struggle so that its a people funded, people driven and people owned total national liberation struggle not what Dzikiti and crew wanted to do to illegally use the party and Zimbabweans to solicit foeign funding for personal gain and make DARE a puppet party. We refuse to give up pr trade even an inch of our hard won national sovereignity and territorial integerity for 30 pieaces of silver from foreign sponsors of puppets.
