More photos of the Brussels trip this week - note my hotel The Leopold on Rue De Luxembourg is where Julian Assange of Wikileaks stayed and in super-sleuth style wrote the password for some of his leaked files on a napkin from the Leopold! Its all in his book:) wish Id known all that when I was there, only heard it back in Dublin from a woman who worked for years in the EU Commission! Pics include the Magritte Museum which I loved, cool Surrealist that he was, and the Royal Palace and Grote Markt/Grand Place with its ornate buildings dating from the 17th Century. Good to see the 20th Anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide was marked at one of the museums, given Belgiums colonial history in that country.
