More than one person has told me, just be sellout. Just go mainstream. Listen to pop songs, figure out their formulas, check out their phrasings, copy, play, rinse and repeat. Go with the flow. Get the most exposure possible. Get on tv! Write towards a goal. Get in the newspapers! Get in the publics face! See...all of that is just a little too complicated for me. Basically everyone I know who makes music... does it for fun. So how about this: Ill just do what makes me and my band happy, and our listeners happy, and not think so damn hard about the politics behind that system. Sounds like a plan. :)
