More unwelcome Government interference in your private life? - TopicsExpress

More unwelcome Government interference in your private life? “Named person” legislation looks likely to go ahead next August, after a Judicial Review was refused. Having a named person assigned to almost every child in Scotland was decided not to be “unjustifiable State interference” and did not breach EU law. This now means that an identified individual is to exercise the functions of advising, informing or supporting the child or young person, or a parent; helping to access a service or support; or discussing, or raising, a matter about the child or young person with a service provider or relevant authority. Is this an interference in your private and family life, or a welcome support if you or your child need one? Leave a comment to let us know what you think. And please remember to like and share!
