Morning Family ~ External circumstances commonly get blamed for our feelings of irritation and anxiety. They often magnify events that reveal what is already inside of us. When we find ourselves becoming short-tempered, ill mannered, mean-spirited or easily worried, it is probably time to examine our hearts. As believers we must be keenly aware of two opposing forces: the desires of our flesh and the freedom that accompanies God’s hand of control. The limits He has set for us is not meant to restrict us but rather bring us peace and direction. Our inherent drive to exercise our free will can lead to unwise decisions, difficulties and failures. While we grow in spiritual maturity and realize that God can relieve the frustration, only then will we learn to appreciate His guidance. The fact that Apostle Paul had to "learn" to be content in whatever his circumstances suggest it was a process that took place over time. ((Phil 4:11) It enabled him to get along in any situation; which should convict us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Victory does not mean our troubles will go away but it does mean that we will see them differently. So today on this Frustration Free Friday, our world is certainly not a place that guarantees a state of contentment, therefore if we want our frustration to fade we must learn to build our trust in the Lord, rely upon His strength, and have confidence in His divine will for our lives. At the start of this Labor Day weekend, whatever your plans, be safe, be blessed and be a blessing. Love to you all,
