Morning garden series: male hummingbird is doing his high dive routine over the yard. Its an amazing aerial and aural display: he rises vertically 60 feet or so, then swoops down in an arc, making a tight dive toward the other bird at the top of the tree, ending with a hi pitched, noisy chirp that never fails to get my (and the birds) attention. The results: in a few months, if all goes as planned...
