Morning thought: I was thinking we all have talent. But we somehow are looking for what is expected from us. Rather than cultivating the unexpected. Little tell tale signs inside us pointing in another direction we should pay attention to. What am I saying. Well like my mom had a gift for cooking yet followed the mainstream of work to make her way over her joy in feeding family and friends with creations only she knew in dinners. She was not gourmet but uniquely flavor full and filling. Her joy in people eating, especially kids. She balanced a plate in colors for nutrition and flavors for eating even kids devoured. Yes, no one went hungry or hesitated coming to dinner at moms table. It was the main attraction for she always presented a smorgasbord of foods from the stove and leftovers in the fridge, just in case you wanted something more. Well cooks are expected to look like a cooks and act in a knowing way of expertise in the science of cooking. But mom saw herself differently as mainstream go with the flow and do what others know. We need to follow and encourage our selves to explore thing we enjoy over things expected. Or hidden we put aside for the opinions of others, rather than encouraged to grow. Such as a boy who falls behind in English for its grammar and punctuation, sentence structure and vocabulary limitation. Yet, has an unique imagination and curiosity for story telling of dreams seen beyond the ordinary. Or the child who doesnt understand algebra but can see the and add the simple fortunes in timber or real estate. Or easily read the fractions of a ruler for building large projects. Or again the patience needed in the exquisite making of detail for fine cabinetry. Kids are a world of talent and need to find who they are. And a good parent, parents those signs they see and observe so they will discover their unknown to enjoy. Keep smiling
