Most of my friends, or close friends, know how fond I am of obsidian (giddy over, in fact). I got an Etsy email with a link to raw obsidian (which I can find here, for free, anyway). Sadly, many of the raw pieces are actually artifacts being collected from sites and sold to other collectors. As the population continues to grow here, I have found myself avoiding collecting anything: stone, plant, or otherwise. I know some people are ethical collectors and harvesters, but I am getting to the point where, unless something can be replenished or replanted, I leave it alone. Just how I feel... less interested in possessing and more interested in preserving.
