Most of you know my wife is from the Philippines. Most of you dont know that a large part of the family on my side is also Philipino. This storm was the most powerful ever recorded on earth in human history and it hit the Philippines at full strength. As more reports come out of the region, Im saddened to here that the death toll is expected to be over 10,000. There will be an overwhelming need for water and other basic necessities for days, weeks and months to come. Shelter and water are an immediate need that hopefully are being addressed now by our government and others. I will be establishing a non-profit this month to assist with raising funds to support the healing of the Philippines. Please be on the look-out for the details of how you can help in the coming weeks. As all my family and friends from Louisiana can attest to, recovering from a major storm event is not a quick fix.
